All of a sudden Cubase 14 no longer connects to my Apollo x4.
I’ve unplugged the thunderbolt cable, restarted the computer, hardware reset the audio interface, installed the latest UAD driver, but nothing works. It worked fine just a few hours ago. The Apollo doesn’t show up in control panel, studio setup or anything. Only Built-In Audio.
Otherwise, the Apollo works perfectly fine. No problem in Logic, Ableton or Spotify for that matter. Everything else works.
How do I fix this?!
The correct order is: turn on the Apollo X4 interface, start the computer, and only then open Cubase.

One potential source of the problem is that you may need to disable Windows Fast Startup in the Power Options, as connection drops (handshake issues) between Thunderbolt and UAD drivers frequently occur during cold starts. You should also reassign your audio connections. Press F4 to open the Audio Connections window and check your input and output buses; assign them to the active Apollo x4 driver ports.

I figured it out.
I had to start Cubase in safe mode, and then choose “Delete Program Preferences”. I lost my template, but that’s fine. I have backups.
Then I closed and opened it again normally, and it was back to normal.
