Cubase Not Importing WAV files

Hello All,

I have been away from Cubase for a while, but I am coming back and staying.

Here is my problem. I am importing some older WAV samples into Cubase 7. Most of the WAV files can be imported with no problem. However, when trying to import some samples, I get a message as follows:

“Error:Medium type not supported or invalid medium!”

The samples in question are definitely WAV files. I use them in FL Studio with no problem. The only thing that I can guess is that the bitrate is lower on these particular samples. Could this be the problem? Is it fixable? These are my bread and butter drum samples.

Thank you in advance!

Have you tried converting the bitrate of one of your samples?

Can you export them at a different bitrate from FL?

This does work. However, it might take the rest of my life to do this for each sample. Better get started. Thank you for your help!

Hello there …I have been working with nuendo for 15 years and there is no need to convert, cubase does it for you!!!

Before dragging the wav file into cubase or nuendo
You must drag the wav file to your desktop and from desktop drag to daw … cubase …

This did not work for me with Cubase 10.5 on a macbook pro
