Cubase Not piicking up my hardware

Hi I just got a copy of cubase 8 which came with my alesis io2 express, but for some reason the computer is aware of the interface but that my mic or headphones will not show up on cubase, as a result i cannot hear any sound come through the headphones or get the microphone to work

any suggestions

I have similar issues too. I have an UR22 and a PG Shure dynamic mic. But Cubase is not recognising the voice input and I am unable to record. Using the same hardware, I am able to record on Garageband. Hope someone helps here!!
