Cubase not recognizing focusrite and glitchy stuff after adding VST

Hello.

I have multiple issues after using a tutorial to add an instrument track … figured out that i needed to open the download assistant and then go to Steinberg and download a freebie. I chose Colors. I was able to hear the synth pad alone when turning down my volume on the keyboard. However, I was not able to record it. That was my first issue.

I came back to it today and for some reason the volume was really low for the midi track. I then discovered that it was only coming through my laptop speakers. So . . . I checked the connections and the computer is not giving me the option to choose the focusrite (it disconnected because I didn’t have the interface on at first). That is my second issue. (Everything is connected and on.)

The third and strangest issue is that, even though I have now disconnected my midi cable, I am getting this reverb when simply talking and not even into the mic. It sounds like the reverb from the “colors” pad, however this is just on a regular audio track and not VST. Hope that makes sense.

Hoping someone can help me with this. This software has been a bit glitchy in other areas (like delays) too, so I’m going to do that update that I just noticed right now.

Thank you!!

I was wrong. Update is just for 14 not pro

Hi,

I would try to restart the computer. Plug the Focusrite in, start Cubase and set everything properly.

Thank you but I actually did that and nothing changed

I had issues with Focusrite after updating to Windows 11. The latest Focusrite driver fixed it.

No issues with Windows 11 + Cubase 15 + Focusrite.

Hi,

Try to reinstall the Focusrite driver. You can also try to install it as administrator.
