Cubase/Nuendo on Windows Needs Better Ergonomics

Please improve the overall ergonomics on Windows, macOS seems to not have the first issue.

  • Scrolling vertically while selecting and holding a track/event to reposition it across the entire project

This doesn’t work at all, and it’s a common issue across almost all windows software with the only exceptions being reaper and pro tools, it’s a must for proper navigation.

  • Horizontal scroll sluggish and laggy on big displays/large resolutions regardless of systems specs. On small resolutions its fast and responsive tho.

Why would a powerhouse PC user have to watch the mixconsole be in like 20fps while scrolling on an ultrawide or 4k display? It looks identical on a cheap as well as best possible CPU and GPU combo. On top of that there is no option to scroll faster, for example if you have 100 tracks and want to quickly scroll it isn’t possible, its a fixed slow scroll that is laggy on top of being slow. In Pro Tools when you want to scroll faster you can hold the win key and it will accelerate both vertical and horizontal scroll, something similar could work in cubase as the shift+alt modifier is nonexistent in the mixconsole in the context of scrolling anyways. It’s been like this since Cubase 13 (new UI update) with the sluggishness and as if the GUI is rendered with the CPU only. Some people don’t care about this enough to complain but every place I’ve been at that happens to run a big resolution display on windows regardless of system specs looks exactly the same - laggy and slow while scrolling.

The horizontal scroll direction with the mouse wheel was also wrong on Windows as well up until Cubase 15 and it’s been fixed which is great, hopefully these will also get resolved.
