Cubase on mac m1 trackpad zoom in out doesn't work

I believe this is a must have feature, is such a drag not being able to use the trackpad for zoom in out functions in cubase.
Not sure if its a mac thing or cubase for mac thing but please try to “correct” this behaviour.

hold CMD and do 2 fingers on trackpad

i´m aware of that option, but using the possibility of the trackpad to open wide the fingers is great when running the laptop on the lap during travelling. mosts daws have this behaviour.
