I’m just wondering if anyone knows why Cubase loads about 40% faster on my Macbook Air M1 vs AMD 3950x. The 3950x is a beast of a machine and it can load more tracks than the M1 Air so I was surprised at this.
Also, when I use Softube Console One on a project (32 instances) on my PC (3950x), it takes 13 seconds to unload the project whereas almost immediate with the M1 Air.
Any ideas?
Apples vs oranges. M1 has tight integrated RAM, and a fast NVME.
My Intel MacBook Pro boots faster than my Hack workstation, but in practice my Hack is 3 times as powerful.
This is very interesting. I’m with Windows and Intel since day one. I will rethink this when I need to replace my i9-9900K system.
BTW, the slow load with Softube Console One has been fixed in a new update!!! That said, the same project loads twice as fast on my MacAir M1 than on my Ryzen 3950x.
