Cubase playing back audio distorted, staticky and jolting

Hi guys, I just installed C9 and every file i import or play sounds distored. Even when I import audio files, songs play back in a jolty way with static and distortion?

Please help:

Windows 7 64
novation nio 2|4
moog sub phatty
cubase 9 /6.5

What audio interface are you using?
Have you verified the settings in Device Setup / VST Audio system?

Try experimenting with the settings. Do you still get problems when you use the Generic Low Latency ASIO driver?
