After loading a VSTi Cubase Pro 10.0.50 stops
playing…

Hi,

What do you mean by “loading VSTi”, please? Did you add a new Instrument track? Or did you open an project? Or did you buy a new VSTi?

What do you mean by “stops paying”, please? Does the cursor stop? Or the cursor is moving but there is no audio output? Is it the same for all projects or just only one?

Hi Martin,

I created a new Cubase Pro 10.0.50 project.
I added a groove agent drum track and recorded an 8 bar loop.

I added a Retrologue 2 VSTi while the GA drum loop was playing.

Cubase stops.

I added 3 more Retrologue 2 VSTi while the GA drum loop was playing.
And again Cubase stoped 3 times.

Normally Cubase is suppose to trip out for a fraction of a second.

I’m back on 10.0.40 which works as expected.

I trashed 10.0.50 and I’m not going to waste my time.

Hi,

So do I understand it right, the playback stops? Was the cursor moving? Ot did it switch to the regular sequencer stop? Any message?

It just stopped. No message/error or crash.
As if it was normal.
