Cubase Pro 10.5 and VST Connect SE ... no license found!

I have Cubase Pro 10.5 installed on my laptop, I use an e-Licenser dongle for authentication. VST Connect SE was available until I downloaded and updated to version 5.5. Then, I get an “No License Found” when loading Cubase. This message refers to VST Connect. Activation Manager does not detect VST Connect as well. Then I have desinstalled version 5.5 and re-installed version 4. Same issue, VST Connect not activated.

How can I fix this issue? I just want VST Connect available like it was before.

Hi,

yes, Cubase 10.5 is bundled with VST Connect version 4. Therefore you cannot run version 5. And it sounds that the un-installer of VST Connect Version 5.5 did not removed all of its components? Are you using Windows or Mac?

Can you please check that the following files are not (!) on your system :

macOS :
/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Components/VST Connect.vst3
/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Components/vstconnect.bundle

windows :
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\Shared Components\VST Connect.dll
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\Shared Components\vstconnect.dll

See you,
Michael.

Hi Michael!

Thanks for the quick response. Problem fixed, I had reinstalled v4, but never desinstalled v5. After deinstalling v5, everything was working fine, ie v4 came back and no more license messages.
