Cubase Pro 10.5 Crashes While Opening Multiple Effect Control Panels

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Add one of the following effects to any channel: any Waves plugins, any Fabfilter plugins, recent iZotope plugins (Ozone 9, Neutron 3, Nectar 3 etc., Ozone 8 and Neutron 2 are fine)
  2. Add another effect (also chosen from the above list) without closing the previous effect control panel
    → Result: Spinning Wait Cursor

Using multiple effects is fine as long as the effect control panels aren’t opened at the same time (closing one before opening another).
There seems to be no crash dump file; the cursor just spins indefinitely.
I’ve been having this issue with several Cubase Pro 10.5.x versions, including the latest one (10.5.20).
Cubase Pro 10.0 is totally fine.

I have the same issue (also running 10.12.6 as it happens). I have no solution, just thought I’d mention you’re not the only one!
