Cubase Pro 14 - Upgrade Price Stays Until Trial Expiration?

My current working version is v. 12 on Windows 10.

And, yes, I’ve looked at the thread here about the grace period for v.14 but the discussion devolved into nothing useful for me. Contacting Steinberg sales may not have an answer for some time.

So asking about it here.

My 60 days trial ends some time in January 2025 (on the 7th or so), and current upgrade from v.12 to 14 is USD $199. I have other expenses right now and it’s not a do-or-die gotta-upgrade situation. I also want to familiarize myself with 14 a bit more also.

Will that $199 still be available within those 60 days, then increase or not after that?

Maybe no-one here has 100% iron clad info on this, if not, hopefully someone from Steinberg will respond.

Thanks.

That is the Standard price for updating by two versions. It is the same for some years and there is no hint why this should Change.

If anything, there may be a sale in January or February 25 so you could potentially get it for cheaper :crossed_fingers:, don’t hold me to that though :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. As the plan is to switch off the old licensing server sometimes in 2025 (maybe 1st half), they may make one final push to get others to upgrade from v11 and earlier at a lower cost.

OK, thanks for your responses. I’ll probably play it safe and buy v.14 in the first week of January. NRN.
