Hi everyone,
I am experiencing recurring graphics rendering errors in Cubase Pro 15 running on Windows 11.
Cubase Pro 15 - OpenGL Errors on Launch and Exit (“Can’t Set The PixelFormat” / “Release Rendering Context Failed”)
System Specifications:
-
DAW: Cubase Pro 15
-
OS: Windows 11
-
GPU: Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 730 (No discrete GPU)
-
Audio Interface: MOTU Gen 5
The Issue:
-
On Launch: When Cubase opens and loads the Hub / MixConsole components, an error dialog pops up:
ERROR: Can't Set The PixelFormat. -
On Shutdown: When closing Cubase (or after forced quits), a shutdown error pops up:
SHUTDOWN ERROR: Release Rendering Context Failed.
What I’ve Already Tried:
-
Updated/Reinstalled Intel graphics drivers.
-
Assigned Cubase to “Power Saving” mode in Windows Graphics settings.
-
Attempted compatibility mode tweaks.
Has anyone encountered this issue with integrated Intel UHD graphics or found a workaround to fix the OpenGL / GDI pixel format context failure?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
