i just installed cubase 8 and the following message appears when i attempt to start the program _
“DWM composition is not running. Please switch to an Aero theme.”
i do not understand this at all. the license is updated and i saw not error messages during the installation process.

Aero is a part of windows not steinberg, enable it that’s all.
many thanks, i just saw the new post about the required theme change under
“Cubase Pro 8 does not work without Aero Themes in Windows” .
i found you can disable most of the features in this except
“use visual styles on windows and buttons”
and
“enable desktop composition”
im used to minimalizing bells and whistles to enhance performance
