Cubase Pro 9.5 saying no more MP3 encodings left

I received a message telling me I had no more encodings of MP3 left in my ‘free allowance’ and now I can’t export as MP3. Works fine on my main studio machine, but this is failing on my laptop.

What’s going on?

Very strange, since mp3s are now supposed to be royalty free. I suppose you could export to wav and convert to mp3 using a stand-alone utility such as ffmpeg (which is versatile yet geeky) or some other wav → mp3 converter. Still, it’s a hassle, and you have a good question there.

Update eLicenser and run a maintenance.

Thanks, Peakae. That fixed it. Never had that happen before…
