Recently purchased a new MacBook Pro and reinstalled my edition of Cubase Pro 9 from the Steinberg website on the new MacBook. After installing software, installing eLicenser, plugging in USB dongle and registering software, seemed to be running fine with no issues.
Was working on a new project this morning; everything was working fine as usual and then Cubase suddenly quit with no warning. Tried opening Cubase again; Cubase seems to load fine and takes me to the hub; I can create an empty project but if I try to open an existing project (either by clicking on ‘open other’ on the hub or by selecting ‘open’ from the file menu) then it crashes. I’ve tried re-starting the MacBook / shutting it down and turning it on again multiple times but the issue persists.

Cubase is hooked up to a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 via USB
Cubase is receiving input from an Alesis Q49 keyboard via MIDI input through the Focusrite
New MacBook is USB-C so Focusrite and Cubase dongle are both hooked up via a USB-3 to USB-C adaptor
MacBook is new last month so apart from Cubase, Kontakt and a few authorised VST plugins there is nothing installed on it except the software it came with
Any help or insight much appreciated.
