I’m just sort of puzzled that “the” preferred DAW of orchestrators does not make it easy to do some fairly straightforward things.
Select a MIDI passage, pick a major/minor/modal scale, transpose 2-3 degrees, instant interesting harmony or evolution.
But this hasn’t even made it into the relatively interesting pattern editor.
Forgive my ignorance, but what is a “degree”?
If this doesn’t do what you need, I don’t understand the request.

@kamedin beat me to the answer!
Degree (music) - Wikipedia.
Thank you, @steve !
And yes, what @kamedin said.
I think this is the feature request.
Pre-requisite:
In the Key Editor set up the correct scale with the correct root note.
Enable the pitch filter (upper left corner on the screenshot)
To create a harmony:
- select the desired note events
- copy them to above or below the original events
For a harmony of the third degree copy the notes two pitches above the original ones.
Done.
This is an alternative method to the one from @kamedin, which might work better if you are working the Key Editor already.
This is my method. Then adjust to taste.
