I have a project and all of sudden the record doesn’t work. At all. Worked last night… no updates or changes since then
If pressed nothing happens. BUT if i press play then record it records just fine.
Ideas?
Disable external sync (in the transport bar)…
… and use the search function
You could also add, watch out for random mouse clicks 
…or key commands… 
left and right locators wrong way round?
