Cubase resets my control room from time to time,

I have many plugins on my control room and I need it to remain constant…

is there a fix for this?

I’ve never seen this happen on my pc with the latest version of 13 (I’ve never seen it with 12 either) Do you remove the audio interface at all or is there anything else you do differently?

Unfortunately I haven’t seen a way how to reproduce or reliable so far.

I would say that whenever this happens to you in the future make sure you write down what you had been doing before it happened. Did you boot your system in a different order? Open apps in a different order? Drives connected / disconnected? Different user login? Starting from a different project / template?.. and so on.

If you do that every time perhaps at some point you’ll see a pattern.

seems to be a Windows issue. I use Windows 11 and a friend does too. and he experiences the same problem on C12. My friend on a Mac and C13 never has this issue.

I’m on win 11 and don’t see this. I keep my machine very bare with only my music software and plugins and no third part virus software. I do all the tweaks recommended.

Not sure what would cause this. But it is always good to save your Control Room settings as a preset once in a while. This way you can easily get it back.

It’s under the Audio Connection menu iirc. (Posting from phone).

Been having this problem in 12 and 13, on Windows 11. Also control room presets disappearing!

Lately I updated a control room plug-in, and now it loads the old plug-in by default. After deleting all the presets and making one new one, it creates new presets with the same name, as well as duplicates of “default”.

I also have been having the problem (for some time) of loading a midi remote setup, and next time I open a new project, the controller is duplicated. Not sure if this is related or not.

Seems like something is getting corrupted with a config file or something of they like.
