Cubase Sampler expanded

This may or may not have come up in the past as a sugestion, but I’ve not found anything in the forum, but I’d love to see the Cubase sampler expanded like a proper full on multi sampler, if anyone is familiar with the old Akai samplers (S3000XL for me), you would have a program, and in each program you would import multiple samples and assign them key groups across the entire key range. For each key group you can assign them to separate outputs.
The poly was limited to 32 voices and 8 outputs.
It really pushed the creativity.

So id like to see this being implemented into the Cubase sampler so that you have one instance of the sampler which could essentially be a “program” and you can drop multiple samples into the sampler and assign each sample a keygroup and then activate the multiple Assignable outputs and assign a sample/keygroups to an output.
This would allow you to add more to a single instance of the sampler, give you that retro style sampler, and the key groups would still allow you to have range over the samples up to where you limit the keygroup range, and you could also create and save your own program of sounds, and recall them later in a new project.
Voices don’t necessarily need to be limited and you could probably make it with say 16 outputs so you can assign certain sounds to outputs.

Before someone says, “Groove Agent”, it doesn’t allow you to do it exactly like this, and I’ve always felt Groove Agent is more centred around drums, although it can be used for other sounds too.
Plus with the features of the sampler (which aren’t all in Groove Agent) it would really allow you to push the sampler to another level, and centred around one instance.
Genuinely feel this would be a fantastic feature.

Hi,

If you need full sampler, please buy HALion.

I like the idea of the sampler expanded but not to the multi-sampler level. I would personally rather see better input methods for quick sequencing (this would work for Groove agent, or halion)
