I just got a the X Air digital mixer that I’m using as an audio interface with Cubase Elements and Cubase recognizes the mixer fine but wants to use it for both input and output. I want to be able to plug in earphones and monitor the mix, listen to the metronome count-in, etc. but once I connect the X Air, Cubase does not recognize my computer sound devices anymore as another device i can select as an output device in the setup, only the X Air. Is there something I’m missing?

You can use one ASIO driver only in Cubase. You cannot use one driver for input and another one for output.
