Cubase start up freezes on "Initializing Midi" after second start up

Because it’s not a simple answer.

Audio + MIDI devices, even if class-compliant, will not get low-latency performance if you uninstall the vendor driver. We don’t currently have a low-latency ASIO driver in Windows that works with all class-compliant USB devices. There’s one coming later this year, but that doesn’t help you now.

Some audio + MIDI devices show up as two different devices in device manager, so you can use our MIDI driver with the MIDI device, and just leave the audio device alone, if you don’t need the audio integration. However, not every device does that – it depends on how the company set up their USB descriptors.

On the Discord server are instructions for how to revert to the old MIDI stack in Windows in the #start-here channel, for customers who are completely blocked. I like to keep the discussions there because that’s where the information is, and I don’t lose track of the conversation.

Perfect thank you.. so far im not having any additional problems.. I normally leave my wifi turned off on my PC so updates wont be push.. I do see double sonarworks drivers. I have tested the plugin yet in cubase.. ill leave everything alone as is.. I have low latency and performance is great.. thank you
