Cubase Startup issues (eLicenser Update)

I have been using Cubase 9.5 since 2017. Today I updated my eLicenser app and suddenly Cubase has to scan all its plugins and it’s taking so much time to start up. Any advice on what to do?

Plug-in scan is not linked to the eLCC at all. Let it scan through. The next start will be faster again.

But iis it normal for it to take this long? It’s been 45 minutes and I’m still in startup mode with the software still initializing plugins/ VSTs

No, that’s not normal, except you have an extraordinary amount of plugins installed. Have you already tried to terminate Cubase and start it again afterwards? This has often helped me to work around this issue.

I have, and I have also removed a large number of VSTs that I no longer use. I have considered Uninstalling then re-installing the software, although, I am not certain if that would help. Mind you, this issue was not present almost 4 hours ago. The moment I updated eLCC for some reason the startup became slow.

That’s strange. Have you also performed the maintenance task in the eLCC? Not sure if that actually helps. Restarting the computer might also be worth a try.
