I’m running Windows XP Professional, 32 bit, on a Toshiba Satellite P105-S6024, 5400 RPM 1.6 GHZ processor, with 4 GB RAM, a 7200 RPM Mercury “On-the-Go” external hardrive, and a M-Audio Firewire 1814 interface. I know it’s old and underpowered, but I can’t afford a new computer at this time.
Everything worked just fine before installing this update. Now, when I start the program, the little Cubase window appears, everything starts to load, and when it gets to “Initializing: All MIDI Inputs” it freezes and I get an error message saying “Cubase Studio 5.exe - Application Error” "The instruction at “0x1be0e7cc” referenced memory at “0x62ce1aab.” The memory could not be “read.”
Once again, I had no problems before installing this update. Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on here? Is there something I can change to fix this? Debugging doesn’t work. It’s a good thing I set up a system restore point before installing this update.
Thanks in advance to anyone with useful suggestions.
