Cubase taking long time to open

Hi all,

Just opening Cubase takes too much time.

Here is a video I recorded to show exactly what happens every time I try to open Cubase

Any ideas?

My setup is the following:

  • Cubase Pro 11
  • Steinberg UR44C
  • MacBook Pro 2.3 Ghz 16GB (2019)

Thanks in advance

Hi,

For some reason, Cubase crashed before this start. Could you attach the mentioned *.crash file, please?

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your response.

Could you please tell me where to find that crash file?

Hi,

In the macOS Console utility, please.

Hi Martin,

I was not able to find information about how to get this file from the macOs Console util.

Does the usage log file work?

Hi,

Mac: macOS Console utility > User Reports folder or Crash Reports in macOS 10.15 (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).

Hi Martin,

I’ve reinstalled macOS and Cubase. There’s no other software installed at the moment, however, the issue persists.

There’s nothing on Console utility > User Reports folder or Crash Reports. I only can see the system logs there, PFA the system.log file generated when I open Cubase.

One last thing, this issue only occurs when my audio interface (UR44C) is plugged to my Apple Macbook Pro. When is not, Cubase opens as expected.

system.log.zip (118.0 KB)

Hi,

I’m sorry, I can’t read so much informations from the system.log.

What I can see, there was a following sequence:

  • eLicenser
  • Graphic driver: No such file or directory
  • ATIRadeonX4000SCLib library: No such file or directory
  • ATIRadeonX4000SCLib library: No such file or directory
  • GLRendererFloat: No such file or directory
  • Something from Apple: Service exited due to SIGKILL

So I would search on Google for these lines:

  • AppleIntelKBLGraphicsGLDriver: #2: No such file or directory
  • ATIRadeonX4000SCLib.dylib: #2: No such file or directory

Sorry, I can’t help more.

Hi Martin.

Thanks for all your support.

As per Steinberg Hardware Service (RMA) suggestion, I have proceeded to return the audio interface.
