Cubase unused folders

Everytime I save a Cubase project, I get three file folders that turn up the next time I open the project. They are “images”, “audio” and “track pictures”. Any way to stop that from happening?

Thanks!!

No, because these are folders Cubase needs.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your response.

I’m probably a bit of a knucklehead when it comes to understanding the nuances of software but, if I never use track pictures or images, why does Cubase automatically produce these empty folders? As I said, I’m not a computer wiz…

I don’t know really, I suppose that for some programming reason those folders have to exist and be ready to contain some files when needed.

My way of getting around that is to sort the folder view by file type, or modified date.

Basically when Cubase creates a Project it has no info about how you may or may not use various elements in it. So Cubase creates the entire environment that it needs to be fully functional.

Also you may think you never use images, but I bet you’ve got some of these around…

Thanks, Steve.

Got it. Thanks!
