Cubase update caused midi part background color to be too light

Hello! After the update, my midi parts are almost as light as the rest of the key editor. I can’t find a setting to fix this, only to change the brightness of the entire key editor. Did I break something? Any suggestions on how to fix it? A friend suggested I delete my preferences and reset to default, will that help? Thanks! Edit: Windows 11, Ryzen 9 chip

I’m sorry it happened to you too! My friend also updated but his colors are fine. I wonder what we can do? (edit: I have not confirmed that this friend updated, in fact I suspect he has not updated yet. I haven’t been able to reach him for a proper chat about this.)

I tried deleting my preferences, resetting everything, updating my graphics driver, and even reinstalling Cubase 15.0.20. The problem persists. But I discovered it has to do with the cycle-area selection. I always use the cycle selector, but when I removed it, the contrast is back. But this makes it very hard to see my midi part when the cycle area is selected. It seems like the cycle-area selection is not as opaque as it needs to be (overriding the key editor color/contrast), and there’s no setting for opacity of the cycle area.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is it just the new way Cubase is colored, or is it just me and Pablo having this issue?

I’m also having another random problem, with two midi parts highlighted, only one of them shows in the key editor. Even glued, only one of them shows. They both play fine, but obviously this could be a tremendous problem for a very busy midi part! I am wondering if the opacity issue and this issue are connected. Anyone else?

The color outside of the parts seems to be related to the color of the editor gridlines.
I like a dark orange tint for the editor gridlines, this is what I get:

These are the four possible scenarios I encounter:

4- With the locator in loop mode activated

1- With the locator out of my line of sight. MIDI part visible but worst than in previos CUbase 15 version

2- With the locator near the MIDI track to be edited. It is confuse

3- With the locator inside the MIDI track to be edited. MIDI part boundaries lost

Can you post a screenshot of your editor color settings:

I am having this exact problem too.
