Is there a way to upgrade cubase 8 to 9 ? Not 9.5. I usually never upgrade to the very last version to avoid possible bugs and 9 seems to be ok now. I would love to have the history tab and all the fonctions ver 9 provides.

No, at this moment you can upgrade to Cubase 9.5 only. You can always upgrade to the very latest version only.
But with Cubase 9.5 license you can install and use Cubase 9 until you feel confident with the latest (9.5) version.
There’s no point in avoiding the latest version like that, pretty much all of the serious issues are fixed in the the first update. The one for Cubase 9.5 will probably come in December.
And some bugs of Cubase 9 are fixed in Cubase 9.5.

That is really cool to know that I can use 9 with 9.5 liscence as martin says.
I’m gonna wait the first 9.5 update and try it.
