Double click on the vocal recording to open sample editor and activate VariAudio (Edit Variaudio)
Close sample editor
Duplicate the audio event on a new track.
Double click on the original audio event to open variaudio
Select all the notes, or just one note (the problem is mainly when selecting only one note)
Use arrow Down on Up on your keyboard to move the note in variaudio
The selection will be lost.
This is a problem because let say you select one note, and then you want to go up by 4 semi-tones (4 clicks on the up arrow on the keyboard), well your selection will be lost and I do not know why but when there is no selection, the keyboard arrows act like if everything is selected and ALL the variaudio events are moved up or down. (You can see why is can be very frustrating).
As a vocal producer, when gets time to edit tons of layered vocals, this is very frustrating experience. I have learned to work with this for years and can manage, but if anyone can replicate, please let me know.
Right, I just replicated the bug on my machine and this occurs to me even without duplicating the audio event.
At first, I guessed this happened because we got the warning that the algorithm had changed to “standard solo”. So I changed this beforehand to VariAudio settings, and Cubase preferences, but the same thing happened.
I’m not used to this forum, does anyone knows if there is a way to tag someone so they see this post?
