I currently use a DAW that has fairly limited automation capabilities. I’m looking for something better. I was wondering whether the automation capabilities of Cubase and Nuendo are the same, or does Nuendo have more features?

what kind if automation are you inquiring about? The term automation is used quite loosely.
If you mean automation of VST parameters: Nuendo has all the capabilities of Cubase and then some more. I am not an expert on automation in these two programs but a quick glance at the automation panel tells the story already:

I was wondering about track automation - there seem to be a few differences - “Spikes”, “Passes”, “Branches” - but I was comparing the Nuendo 13 manual to the Cubase 14 manual. The last two are basically an undo history?
