There’s more important things to spend resources on than incorporating a Clip Launcher which ironically, typically generates a type of music that AI is already duplicating better than most people can produce it.

There are so many scenarios of using clip launcher other than simply triggering static samples. For example clips can do what you asked for here, store and launch automation:

TrackVersions for Automation Lanes

I think there is a good case to be made for this feature, However, I do not think that Automation should be included/integrated into current TrackVersion editing. That would get far too confusing. Instead, Automations Lanes should each get their own Version system, ie, on the same channel, Pan Versions is separate from Volume Versions. Even better, clips (together with Ableton racks) allow for many powerful ways of experimenting with automation in real time, contrary to static track versions.
