Cubase wont let me add tempo track

HI all,
my friend has shared me his project file and when i open it I cant open a tempo track for some reason as its grayed out.
Cubase 12.0.6
Mac M1
Any tips?

It’s probably got a tempo track already? Did you check for hidden tracks?
