Cubase won't release closed projects to Windows?

  1. If I close a project and then try to change the name of the folder where I have the project there’s no problem.
  2. If I forgot I had a project open and try to change the folder name it of course won’t do that, which is fine and dandy.

But the problem is that if I try the second method Cubase will not release the folder at all unless I quit the entire program and restart again?!!?

Is this by design and if so why?
Can anybody confirm?

I didn’t try it, but I can imagine, this is system specific. Did you try the same with different application?
