Hi,

Thank you.

I’m experiencing this same issue when importing audio files into an empty project. It’s now happened five times in a row - each requiring a whole system restart (because the ASIO hardware is now occupied).
cubase_11_crash

I’m using a Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 that is up to date with the latest drivers.

I’ve also started to experience this issue.

It happens when I try and import an audio file into my project from the Windows browser (not the media bay). When I select the file I want and click OK, Cubase crashes with “shutdown due to serious graphics driver issue” error.

I am using an Nvidia 3080RTX video card with the latest nvidia drivers (461.72) on Windows 10 (latest version, everything updated).

I have recently updated to the Nvidia 565.89 driver and I’m still seeing this crash. Here’s the Cubase dmp file from the latest incident.Cubase 11.0.10.321 64bit 2021.3.29 19.23.48.825.zip (251.0 KB)

Also having this exact issue (the white graphics driver warning screen) on 2 identical computers (exept the graphics card: Nvidia geforce gt 610 and geforce 8500 gt). Nvidia drivers installed, no extra’s. Older drivers do not solve the problem. Tried everything else I could find online to no avail. Sometimes it seems related to moving a knob on a plugin, other times cubase just crashes while not even playing. Tried other bios settings (no speedstep, no overclock, no hypertreating) no difference. Cubase 8.5 32 bit runs fine.

I was wondering why my Cubase Pro 11 works greatly without any significant issue! I uninstalled it when totally switched to C12. It worked greatly until I installed C11 again just for testing. Now both versions are crashing when I’m playing a project and Key Editor is opened. It seems that on other situations everything is ok - can run project for many hours.

If I install AMD Radeon drivers (Adrenaline 21.2.1), then there are another problems with other programs like Vegas Pro 19. So all recommendations reduced to use of Windows offered drivers. So I uninstall Adrenaline and everything works okay with video program.

So, @Martin.Jirsak what would you recommend? I’m very mobile and cannot take two laptops one for music, another for video producing

Hi,

The crash is in the graphics2d area, so it relates to the graphic card. It’s very interesting, you don’t see the issue, if Cubase 11 has not been installed.

Could you try (just for the testing purpose again) to reinstall Cubase 12 after you have Cubase 12 installed. Maybe Cubase 12 installation would fix something in the system again (sorry, just searching in the darkness).

Thank you

I did go less painful way - I uninstalled C11 and now C12 seemingly works perfect - I get rid of this bug, except that standard hidden bug (maybe it’s the same graphic2d you mentioned?) that happens on exit and next startup offers safe mode.

Tested with a project that suffered from this bug three times and Cubase saved project with numeric suffixes, and now I loaded the same project and all works perfect. Also after closing project and restart of Cubase didn’t start safe mode. So I cannot send crashdump file for comparison.

While I have serious projects and deadlines I cannot test C12 more. Maybe later.

I am seeing this issue as well whenever I try to add media to the pool, or drag an audio file to the project. I updated to the latest version of Cubase and my graphics card driver. I did have Cubase 11 installed, but even after uninstalling and rebooting everything, I get that error.

I will try to uninstall Cubase 12 completely and reinstall. Have other people solved this successfully?
