why does my loop markers move with a tempo change

Is your primary time format set to something different than “Bars+Beats”?

This happens if the Time Base of your Marker Track is set to Linear (Clock icon) instead of Musical (Note icon).

you can see its set to musical note if you look in the inspector

Not talking about the Instrument Track but the Marker Track. :slightly_smiling_face:

The topic seems to be about the locators and @nickyboy180 just did not know the correct term for it. The marker track is empty and the locators have moved between the screenshots.

Hi Johnny, I have deleted the marker track, to remove that from the equation. I have a groove agent track with the locators around an 8 bar event, the tempo is 111.0, the musical note is highlighted, now if I alter the tempo, the locators move, the event stays where it is, I can’t seem to add a screenshot to this reply, hope this explains the anomaly

@Martin90 already gave the solution to your issue. Change the primary time display to Bars and Beats. The default key command is . on the regular keyboard.

Hi,
My ruler is set to bars and beats, Ive never used any other setting.

Hi, I found 1 midi part that wasn’t snapped to grid, snapping that to grid solved the problem, thanks for all your combined assistance, it’s much appreciated.
