Future topics (currently being developed, release date TBA)

  • MiniSampler edit functionality
  • Apple Pencil Support

I use Cubasis 2 extensively on iPad Pro. While Cubasis 3 has my interest, I have no desire at all to upgrade without Apple Pencil support. Further, no matter how complex you say the development is, it’s ridiculous not to handle tempo changes. If you can rewrite your app from the ground up, you can include a feature you have been saying you would implement for the last half decade.

Feature request: Handle 6/8 time signatures!!! The denominator is NOT always 4!

Regarding 6/8 time signatures: Consider this test case: A Celtic Jig written in 6/8 time is entered into music notation which generates a MIDI file at a set tempo. The natural division of 6/8 time is in 2 — not 3. But when the MIDI file is imported into Cubasis, the app imports it in 6/4. Even though the notes may play back correctly, the metronome is completely screwed up. It is NOT supposed to beat every quarter note but rather, every dotted quarter.
