sometimes when i bounce a track in cubasis ( freeze, delete original track) , not everytime all effects are rendered into the track.
sometimes for example sidechain input of a fx
( sidechain coming from another track) seems to be muted when bouncing.
anyone else got those results?
this is one reason, i wish i could real-time record a track into another.
without messing with audiobus.
So I had a similar issue ages ago. I wonder if it ever got fixed or is it the same issue? I also found a workaround by soloing the track and exporting the mixdown for more accurate audio rendering compared to the freeze function.
I kinda always thought that freezing tracks was a function to relief the dps on the cpu
Not really an audiotool to use as a creative measure (to bounce etc) but rather a placeholder to expand your channel count.
Imo,qualitywise, you want effects as less as possible processed after insertion to keep them from any sort of distortion.
But i dont know if this is the case but if it is, it would kinda explain why it doesnt render literally everything. I imagine that in some cases rendering certain effects would result in a fairly large audiofile. If freezing is to lighten the load of the cpu then it doesnt help if you stuff the ram.
I like using Nave, iM1, iwavestation, SampleTank, but as they are IAA plugins, I can only use one instance of each of the above per project unless I freeze them, then I can have reuse any of them as many times as I want
Alltho it cam be a bit crippling it makes sense tho
Multiple instances of an app is often handled thru app-cloning
You can imagine that could be a conflict at a certain point and stacking live clones would fill up the memory quick.
We have to keep in mind that cubasis has to cater to all sorst of low end to high end devices and therefor there always will be certain restrictions across the board. Choices we might not understand but neccesary for all users to have a similar experience,
Yes you are right again, I have found that AUv3 plugins are a requirement for multiple instances for medium to large projects but at the cost of a lower quality audio, IAA plugins have always been superior with their sonic qualities, perhaps that’s why they remain IAA which are CPU hungry.
