My Cubase on my laptop is perfectly controlled both from the laptop keyboard and from a separate usb wired Numeric pad - on the Nuneric pad, for example, I use “*” to turn on Rec and it works, but on my iPad this is only possible from an external full computer keyboard, and almost all key commands with Numeric pad do not work. Only some. Why? Can this be added? To make it work like in Cubase Desktop version? Thanks
I usually work with Cubase using a computer keyboard (either built‑in or external), primarily relying on the numeric keypad (both built‑in and external USB). This approach is very convenient.
Cubasis 3 on iPadOS also supports numeric keypad input, but unfortunately some key commands are currently missing. I would like to request the addition of these commands — specifically for the numeric keypad keys.
Currently supported commands in Cubasis 3 (iPadOS):
* = Rec
+ = Cursor right
- = Cursor left
/ = Cicle on/off
1 = Cursor to the left locator position
2 = Cursor to the right locator position
Requested additional commands for Cubasis 3 (iPadOS):
Enter = Play
0 = Stop (at current Cursor position)
00 = Stop (at start Cursor position)
. = Cursor to the 1 bar
These commands would bring the iPadOS version in line with the desktop version of Cubase, ensuring a consistent workflow across platforms.
