Cubasis 3 plug in

Hello everyone, as you know, unfortunately, unlike iOS, it’s not possible to install third-party plugins and VSTs on Android with Cubasis 3 xxx. This should change. Since I’m in the Google Developer Program, I’ll try to push for an Android-level interface for this. Regards, Peter Tronmusik

Hello, dear Google developer colleagues! I’ve been working with sequencers, synthesizers, and electronic music for years. I’m also a musician myself and part of the Google Developer Team. The music programs I use on Android are diverse, from BandLab and Suno AI to DAW programs like FL Studio Mobile 4xxxx and Cubasis 3xxx (current versions on Android 12). The problem here is the lack of an interface in Android for implementing third-party plug-ins and VSTs from manufacturers other than FL and Steinberg. This has been possible for a long time with the same DAW programs on iOS. In response to my inquiry about a possible implementation of third-party plug-ins and VSTs in Cubasis 3xxx, Steinberg told me that I should submit a request to Google with this interface. It would help all musicians who reject Apple mobile devices like me, and expand Android in the musical field, making it more open and enriching. Sincerely, Peter Graf Tronmusik

Hi @Tronmusik

Thanks for your message!

Agreed, we strongly suggest that Android users should let Google know that they want to see a solution to use 3rd party plug-ins with their Android DAW, to make them aware about the demand.

Best,
Lars
