Cubasis dont work with audio interface

I cannot connect cubasis with audio interface UR 22C

Hi @tarmizi020817 ,
What kind of iPad are you using?
How is Cubasis and your Steinberg UR22C not working together?
In what way?
You need to provide more details.

If not an iPad Pro, then besides the Apple Camera Connector Kit, you need a Powered Hub, not just a hub, but it MUST be powered.
I’m jumping ahead, but even if your audio interface is lighting up, you can’t assume it’s getting enough power, as a regular iPad, iPad Air, even Mini, does not have the battery power to support external peripherals that don’t have their own power supply. If you also have condenser mics that need phantom power, then I suggest you shop for a powered hub that uses a 12V, not 5V, AC adaptor. Something like a Sabrent 7-port hub. Powered hubs with only a few ports usually come with only 5V AC adaptors. Also, I recommend a powered hub with on/off push buttons. You will find them very useful to control all your devices. Especially if you have a digital piano or some other instrument that has a built-in audio interface. The iPad will only let you work with one audio interface at a time.

I had to guess at your problem because you gave no details.

Even with an iPad Pro, I would still use a powered hub. But why if so many people say it’s not necessary? To save the battery in the iPad Pro from prematurely wearing out and needing replacement and to get a good strong current flow to all my devices and condenser microphones without taxing the iPad Pro. A powered hub is a fraction of the cost of an iPad Pro, so why not extend the iPad’s life for a few dollars or pounds or whatever your currency?

Whether any of that matches your current problem, I believe I’ve shared some good advice with you. Hope that helps.

Hi @tarmizi020817

Thanks for your message and a warm welcome to the Cubasis forum!

Please let us know if you use Cubasis for iOS or Android (alongside with a short info about your devices and OS you use).

Cubasis for iOS full supports the use of class compliant audio devices, including the Steinberg UR22C audio interface.

To learn how to use your UR22C device with an iPhone or iPad, please take a look at the “Connection Examples” chapter of your UR22C help.

Cubasis for Android offers limited audio and MIDI hardware support only, Steinberg does not currently guarantee full compatibility. Here, the performance and available options are strong related to the devices in use.

Please let me know if this helps to solve your problem.

Best wishes,
Lars
