Cubasis for android, how to connect to Yamaha Clavinova?

I am an old user of Cubase, of an old version that I no longer use. Currently I would like to try to use “Cubasis” for android that I downloaded in the trial version for a tablet, but I noticed that it does NOT allow me to connect the Clavinova to try it. So I wanted to know if it is set in this way or is there some trick to make it connect to the piano?

Thanks

Hi @Pelz

Thanks for your message.

In general the performance of Cubasis for Android is strongly related to the device(s) in use. Same goes for connecting external devices.

To connect your instrument to your Android device, you’ll need the following:

  • USB to Host or MIDI ports on your instrument
  • A USB-A to USB-B cable or an In-Out MIDI/USB cable (depending on your instrument’s output)
  • An OTG USB adapter (either USB-C or micro-USB, depending on your Android device’s port type)

Hope that helps.

Best,
Lars

Thanks for the info and sorry for the late response. I was wondering if the Steinberg “interfaces” might be okay to allow my Clavinova to be recognized. I tried using an interface from Roland (UM-2G), but the program does not see it.
Just so you know, I have an 11 inch “SEBBE S23” tablet.
I ask: what is your opinion on UR22C? Do you think it might suit me?

Thank you
