In the upper right corner on Cubasis tool bar there is a rec mode button. When highlighted it shows in, out, roll and count. I think this is for punch in and out. I’ve tried to use it but I think I’m missing a step. I used the markers to set the starting and ending points to punch in/out. I then highlighted in/out in rec mode, then pressed record. It punched in, but when I played back, the old recording was still there with the new part on top of it. I tried again, but this time I deleted the section where I wanted to punch in first, then used punch in feature and it worked. I’m curious if there’s a way to do this without deleting first? Also,I’m not sure what roll and count do in rec mode. There’s no info in manual.

You can create a new track and track the top region onto it.
