Cubasis Tips and Tricks
Some features aren’t obvious, and not everyone reads the whole manual, especially if they like me already had experience with other DAWs. I’ve come across a few by accident. Feel free to add your own.
Move an audio event without accidentally changing its volume
If you’ve changed an audio event’s volume using its volume handle, then moving the event often results in adjusting its volume instead of grabbing and moving it.
Grab it above the volume handle.
Duplicate events
Quickly drag (don’t grab) over the middle-right event handle to add one or more duplicates right after it.
Select an earlier undo point
Long-press the Undo button to open a list of previous undo points. You can then select the point you want to return to.
Switch to previous Snap Grid setting
Long-press Snap Grid to quickly switch between the current Snap Grid setting and the previously used setting.
Move the locator range
Long-press either the left or right locator to move the current locator range without having to adjust the locators individually.
