CUBASIS ver 3.7.8

I’ve also noticed that the USB midi clock being sent to my Yamaha MONTAGE moves up and down by 1 completely randomly. Obviously this is a complete pain when trying to record as timing goes out with sequencer/arpeggiator/drums etc

Has anyone else spurred this?

Thanks

Jonathan

Hi @Jon_Scott,

Please provide more details - either a step-by-step description or a short video clip showing all steps leading to the issue.

Also, kindly check my reply to your previous post and follow the recommended steps to help rule out any accidental issues.

Best regards,
Lars

Hi Lars,

I’ll send a short video of tempo change so you can see what’s happening

I’ve reply to your other Email (hopefully sorted that problem out)

Thanks again for your help and support

Hi, sorry for a long delay getting back regarding temp/midi clock problems. I’m still getting the same problem with CUBASIS being the master (midi clock) and my Yamaha MONTAGE tempo goes up/down 1>2 steps. CUBASIS stays the same.

This is very random but when happens it’s like it until I close CUBASIS and most times will be ok It’s very frustrating as causes major problems when recording

I tried sending video from iPhone but format not supported. Will try and upload shortly

Thanks for your time

Jon

Hi Lars,

This is small clip of MIDI clock problem

sending from Cubasis (iPad. Latest version) to my Yamaha Montage. I’ve also used my Yamaha hardware QY700 sequencer to test Montage is ok. And has no problems

Thanks

Jonathan

Hi @Jon_Scott

Please give the following settings a try:

  • Setup / Audio / Set the latency to the lowest possible value (e.g. 1.3ms)
  • Setup / Audio / Disable multi-core (usually not recommended, but in your case it might help)

Does this help resolving the issue?

Best,
Lars

Hi Lars

I’ve tried your suggestion regarding my problem with Jodi clock

At the moment putting the latency as low as possible seems to of worked. The problem is very random so fingers crossed

I’ll advise if any problems persist

Thanks again for your time and support
