I am using two basis three and it works fine with the internal instruments. Whenever I try to hook up a midi keyboard or an AUV3 external sound source, it will play a few notes and then stop. It’s still successfully plays the tracks with the internal instruments. Occasionally, an odd note will just tinkle out or I will hear a humming noise from the speaker. The humming noise goes away if I mute the track with the external audio. Neither of the CPU nor the memory use is very high at all. Has anyone else seen this issue and is there a fix?
Hi @rwhall1
Thanks for your message.
Please share the information, which AUv3 instruments do not work as expected, and also inform the 3rd party app vendors about the problem.
In addition, you may check the following steps:
- Close all apps, including Cubasis.
- Fully shut down your iOS/iPadOS device.
- Restart your iOS/iPadOS device.
- Launch the stand alone app versions of the intrumnets
- Afterwards launch Cubasis.
Please keep me updated.
Thanks
Lars
Lars,
thank you so much for responding. I really appreciate it. I have an update. The midi instrument, which is a jamstik trainer, works perfectly using the built-in steel guitar instrument by Microsonic, so I’m beginning to think this is a problem only with AUV3 instead of midi. Everything works perfectly until I hit record. That’s when it stops playing. it seems to record the track but won’t replay it. Interestingly enough when I turned off the iPad, a few seconds later I heard a guitar strum.
I am using a jamstik trainer for my midi controller and the SoundFonts app by developer Brad Howes. The guitar and sound font combination works perfectly in GarageBand. That is why I think it might be an issue with cubasis.
If I reboot the iPad, it will work for a while.
Rob
Lars,
Here is an example of the type of problem I’m seeing.

Lars,
i’m trying to send you a video of the issue I’m saying. The first one was rejected because your email gateway does not accept MOV files. It did say it accepts zip files so I’ll try to send it as a zip.
Thanks,
Rob

Please share the issue with the 3rd party app vendor. We’re at hand to provide a Cubasis 3 promo code for testing purposes, if required.
Please keep me updated.
Thanks
