When a cue crosses a system break, it is not notated the way I would expect.
The desired result is that the part’s original clef should appear at the beginning of the new system first, and then change to the cue instrument’s clef in cue size. In this example, the part is for viola, so I would expect the alto clef to appear at the start of the system, followed by a cue-sized clef change, as shown in the image below.
However, when the cue starts at the beginning of a system, the original alto clef is overwritten, and I get a full-size treble clef instead. In addition, a cautionary treble clef also appears at the end of the previous system, as shown in the next image, which is not what I want.
This example may be affected by the specific notation context, since the bar is divided with an internal barline in 3/4 time into 2 beats + 1 beat, and there is also a repeat. I apologize that I have not yet had time to verify whether this happens in a simpler case as well.
I would like to know whether there is a way to start the cue at the beginning of a system while keeping the original C clef visible.
