I have a cue that is taken from Violin 1 but represents the whole string section. In Galley View I have modified the label to read “Str.”, but in Page View the signpost still shows “Violin 1.” (see below)
This causes no particular problem, but a small refinement might be for the modified cue label to be reflected consistently in both Galley and Page views.

I don’t see the cue notes in the page view image you’ve provided. Have you made sure that they are visible in Layout Options > Players > Cues > Show cues? (make sure “Full score” and all part layouts are selected in the panel to the right)
If cues are hidden in the full score, all you will see is the cued instrument name signpost. This does not change just because you have customised the cue text. The cue still comes from that instrument.
You could have multiple cues coming from the same instrument each with different custom text…
