I added the violin part with down stems, so a quarter rest should appear at the section marked in orange. However, it doesn’t appear. How can I manually insert a quarter rest there?
There’s probably a reason why it’s not appearing. Can you attach those few bars here?

At least you can enter an explicit rest in the up-stem voice with force duration.
