Cue rest-Whole rest

Cue.dorico (1.7 MB)

The rest in the orange section should appear where the green marker is, but a whole rest appears instead. How can I fix this?

Just move the Soprano cue to the English Horn staff.

The file uploaded right now is just a sample. Due to issues where the instrument does not match and the key signature becomes incompatible, it seems we cannot arbitrarily transpose it.

If @Janus solution does not work on your end, you can always input explicit rests:

Once the caret is active:

7 o , y 6 y

This should be possible via Engrave Mode. But take care to use local property scope and to double-check the source notation. There have been instances in the past where changing such properties would carry the edit through to the actual source (although this shouldn’t actually matter in this particular case). Ideally, these issues have been fixed by now, but check it yourself.

Thanks.

I have an additional question. Is it possible to change the direction of the grace cue only at the marked location?

Did you try in Engrave Mode, as @Alexander_Ploetz suggests?

I thought it was impossible to flip single notes in cues, but it looks like it works for grace notes.

The grace notes in Cue aren’t being flipped.

Sorry, you’re right — I must have made a mistake by testing too quickly.
