The cue suggestion feature in Dorico Pro is a wonderful tool. My only criticism is that there is not an option to set the parameter for identifying the need for a cue in bars rather than just time. I’ve read the User Manual and understand the rationale for a time based parameter. But instrumentalists count bars - they don’t look at their watch. I’ve never had an instrumentalist ask for a cue after 15 seconds or 30 seconds of silence but they constantly ask for 20 bars or 30 bars or more. It would be great if the cue suggestion tool could be revised to provide the option for setting a time or a number of bars.
